While there are always new and shiny Marketing Technology (MarTech) tools hitting the market, utilizing a few basic items will ensure effective business practices. The key to marketing is consistency. Knowing how to use the tools in your toolbox and doing so on a regular basis is far more important than always adding something new.

A MarTech portfolio for real estate agents should include at least one tool in each of the categories below:

  • Website: It is imperative that you have either a personal website or a built out page on your company website.
  • CRM: This is a place where you can track all of your contacts and relevant information for them. If you use it regularly to stay connected to your past clients and to cultivate new relationships, it has the power to take your business to new levels.
  • Digital Home Tour Tools: Virtual tours and home staging tools are the standard in this technology-forward age. Here is the 2019 list of some of the best available.
  • A Lead Generation Platform: There are companies that specialize in real estate lead generation and offer agents their own lead generation funnels. These funnels capture lead data off of websites and social media pages and send the information to you.
  • Mobile Apps: A wide variety of mobile apps offer easy graphic design, helpful data for your clients, video and even a way to keep your personal and professional lives separate! Check out this list of top apps for real estate agents and remember you don’t need to use all 22.
  • Social Media: Social media is a crucial tool to promote yourself, be searchable, and give people a sense of your personality. While you don’t need to be on every social media platform, you do need to be on at least one. If you’re going to have a presence on multiple social media platforms, a scheduler such as Hootsuite allows you to schedule your posts across multiple platforms all at once.
