Social media is always evolving and the various platforms consistently work to make it easier for people to use them. In the last few weeks, Facebook and Twitter announced updates that make the platforms far more user friendly for business.

  • Facebook launched a business inbox in Facebook Messenger to help business pages respond to customer messages quickly and to make it easy to switch between personal and business accounts in the Messenger app.  According to Facebook, over 90% of Facebook business page admins use Messenger to communicate on their personal pages and don’t want to download Facebook business apps in order to manager their pages.  Read the full release here.
  • Twitter now allows users to schedule tweets from their desktop application and save draft tweets. This feature is not currently available on tablets or phones.

These two updates directly make using social media for business more efficient and likely more effective without being noticeable to clients.
